Reference count of Core Thread objects

When createthread is used to create a thread, the default reference count of the returned handle is 2. When closehandle is called to close the thread handle, the reference count is reduced by 1, this thread is actually cleared only when the reference count of this thread ends and 1 minus 0!

How to end a thread
