Show size (display size)

Refers to the diagonal length of the actual viewable area, in inches, or inch (1 inches = 2.54 centimeters).

Aspect ratio (aspect ratio)

Refers to the ratio of the length and width of the visible area of the TFT-LCD, also called the screen scale. The main aspect ratio has 4:3,5:4,16:10,16:9 four kinds. A 16:9 ratio is closer to the golden section than the human eye is more comfortable to watch. The length is generally expressed in H (horizontal), and V (vetical) indicates the width.

Valid display area (active display region)

Resolution (number of pixel)

Indicates the number of luminous points within a valid display area that can be used as a screen display, and the luminous dots in TFT-LCD are called pixels. The resolution is generally represented by multiplication, such as the resolution of 1024x768, where 1024 represents the number of pixels that are displayed horizontally in a valid display area, and 768 represents the number of pixels in the vertical direction. Resolution reflects the total number of pixels in the active display area, the higher the resolution, the higher the resolution of the screen (resolution). The average human eye is more sensitive in the vertical direction of the pixel, so the higher the vertical resolution, the higher the sharpness of the screen.

Pixel pitch (pixel pitch)

refers to the distance between 2 pixels in a valid display area of the TFT-LCD. The smaller the pixel pitch, the smaller the font size. The delicate picture is also determined by the pitch, the smaller the pixel pitch, the more delicate the picture. A more accurate representation of the image's fineness is the PPI (pixel per inch) value, which is the number of pixels in the unit size (25.4mm). High-definition TFT-LCD has a high PPI, the smaller the pixel pitch, the larger the PPI value.

Brightness (luminance of white)

Luminance refers to the brightness of the screen, in units of each square metre (cd/m2). The screen is too bright easy to cause eye fatigue, the screen will make pure black and pure white contrast, affecting the color scale and gray scale performance. Brightness uniformity (luminance variation) is also very important, good quality display, screen brightness uniformity, no obvious dark area. Select 5 points in the screen, the maximum brightness point/minimum brightness point should be below 1.25, the minimum brightness point/maximum brightness point should be above 0.75.

Contrast ratio (contrast ratio)

The simple definition is the ratio of full white brightness to full black brightness. The higher the contrast, the more vivid the level of the screen.

Color depth (color depth)

short for the color depth. Represents the number of colors that a pixel can use when displaying different images in TFT-LCD, in bits of binary digits. Display a black and white screen, from the darkest to the brightest brightness level with bit, 8bits means 2 of the 8-square, that is, 256 brightness levels. Each luminance level corresponds to a gray scale, and the corresponding pixel voltage for each gray scale is called a gray-scale voltage. Each r,g,b has 256 shades of gray, with a combination of 256*256*256=16777216 colors.
