Release of IOS apps (IV)-how to upload apps to iTunes connect

Source: Internet
Author: User

In this article, I will briefly introduce how to upload IPA to iTunes.
Connect.

Log on to iTunes
Connect. after entering the Manage Your applications page, click the application icon you created to go to the application's home page.

On the Application homepage, you can view the basic information of the application. You can use the buttons in the upper-right corner to Manage payment settings. The icon in the lower-left corner shows the current state of the application. Before uploading an application, you must determine that the application status is waiting.
For upload.

Click View Details under the icon to go to the application details page. There is a binary details button in the middle of the page. You can click it to view the file upload status. You can also change the application status on this page. I have the following statuses:
Waiting for upload: Wait for upload. Only in this status can IPA be uploaded.
Waiting for review waiting for review. After the upload is successful, the queue starts waiting for review.
In review under review
Developer reject: The developer withdraws the file. The developer may want to recall the file for modification for some reason. Before the next upload, the developer must go to the binary details page and change the application status to waiting for upload. After the upload, the queue will be requeued.

In addition, because my application is being reviewed, I don't know what other statuses are available, but at least two statuses are rejected and passed.

Update mobileprovision and p12

Now, let's take a look at the important things that must be done before uploading an application. In the article "How to Use IOS developer authorization and apply for a certificate", I introduced how to generate the mobileprovision and p12 files, it is also mentioned that they need to use different files in the Development and release phases. Next, I will briefly introduce where to generate mobileprovision and p12 files for the application to be released.

Return to the developer authorization system, go to the certificates page, and click the distribution label. For example, click the link in the figure to download an applewwdrca (Apple
World wide developer relations Certification Authority) Certificate file to the local, if it is a Mac, double-click it to access the keychain access, this certificate file will give you all the certificate signatures you download from the apple developer website, includes the certificates mentioned in the previous article. However, I cannot find any information on how to use applewwdrca to sign the certificate in windows. Therefore, in addition to using Mac to sign the certificate, I cannot provide a feasible method. If your certificate is not signed by applewwdrca, it cannot be uploaded to iTunes connect normally.

Go back to the developer authorization system certificate page, click request certificate, upload a CSR file according to the process we introduced earlier, and download a CER file for signature (Mac is required ), then export p12 for flash release.
The method for generating the mobileprovision file is no different from the previous method. You only need to apply for a new profile under the distribution label and select a distribution signature certificate to export the provision file.

Use the new p12 and mobileprovision files to repackage and release an IPA. This file is the binary file that we will upload to iTunes connect.

Use Application
Loader upload Application

Using Application Loader on Mac is the only way to upload binary to iTunes connect. If you have installed xcode 4, you can use the latest Application Loader 1.4 for upload. Otherwise, you can download the application
Loader 1.3.dmg. For more information, see Application
Loader user guide.

The use of Application Loader is very simple. Use your developer account to log on and follow the prompts to perform the operations step by step. Application Loader not only provides the file upload function, but also verifies and checks the certificate and authorization of IPA. Therefore, if your file has not been legally signed during the publishing process, or if you do not use the correct authorization and certificate, the upload will not be successful.

After the upload is successful, you can wait for the review.
