June 2012, IBM officially released the WebSphere application Server V8.5 version (was V8.5). WebSphere Liberty Profile Server (Liberty), the most important new feature in was V8.5, is a lightweight WebSphere application server based on the OSGi kernel, high modularity, and high dynamics, which is very simple to install and starts with a non Often fast, with very little disk and memory space, support the development of WEB, mobile and OSGi applications, once launched by the broad masses of developers.
Liberty is a new lightweight application server with a variety of free development tools that provide the best development experience for the user. The Liberty server also supports a variety of mainstream operating system platforms, including Windows, Linux, Unix, IBM I, and so on. This article will focus on how to install Liberty on IBM I and remotely debug an OSGi-based Web application deployed in Liberty.

Install Liberty on IBM i
Liberty is a profile in was V8.5, if was V8.5 is installed, then we can use liberty directly, otherwise we first need to install Liberty profile to IBM i.
1, Liberty profile is copied to the file system of IATCHBM I, this article takes/home/download as an example.
2, use the following command to install the Liberty in Qsh, follow the prompts until the installation is complete.
