One, Remote Desktop cannot connect to a remote computer because of one of the following reasons:
1) remote access to the server is not enabled
2) The remote computer is turned off
3) The remote computer is not available on the network
Solution One:
See if the remote machine checked the option "Allow remote users to connect to this computer" (right-click My Computer-Properties-remote)
Solution Two:
See if the Administrator account of the remote computer is set secret and cannot be connected remotely if no password is set
Solution Three:
See if the remote computer comes with a firewall turned off, no shut down on the line (right-hand corner of the network connection-open firewall settings)
