Remotely restore the root password of an esx Server

There was a machine. Today, I found that I didn't open a firewall, and it actually belonged to me, Khan. I found no password or record.

I don't want to remotely reinstall it. I am worried that the data on several virtual machines running above may flash, so I thought of changing the password for a single user and forgetting it.

Remotely connect to a windows machine on the Intranet and then perform operations through the web management function provided by the machine. The most common features are power management and console.

Esx is actually a linux operating system, but it is not a complete linux system, so those functions in the console, such as ctrl + Alt + DEL, cannot be used, and can only be managed by power.

In this way, after the machine is forcibly restarted, it is a single user, just like linux.

1. Press e in the Guide and edit it.

2. Select vm-related ones, press e to edit them, and add a single carriage return to the last line.

3. Start by B, in the single-user mode
