Repairing Windows 7 Sidebar failed to work

In Windows 7 Beta 1, disabling UAC causes the sidebar gadget to be unusable, which is inconvenient for some people, but what if you turn off UAC and want to use the sidebar?

1. Open Registry Editor (Regedit.exe)

2. Locate to Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\sidebar\settings

3. Create a DWORD value, named Allowelevatedprocess

4. Set the DWORD value to 1

5. Close the Registry Editor, this time the sidebar can be used, if it is not available, please restart Windows 7.
