Prerequisite conditions

Backing up the default certificate for the ESXi system

Open SSH function for ESXi system

Confirm that the lockdown mode of the ESXi system is turned off

Target ESXi host in maintenance mode

Output file

Rui.crt

Rui.key

1. Select the ESXi host and right-click into the maintenance mode, as shown in Figure 1.1.

2. Log on to the ESXi host and enable SSH, as shown in Figure 1.2.
