I. Software Installation
The installation of Evernote is simple. You only need to perform the following steps to install Evernote. In Figure 2, check "Install Web clipper extension tool in Internet Explorer" to install the IE Plug-in of Evernote, in the future, you can collect data directly in the IE browser to take notes. After the installation is complete, use Evernote for the first time. You must create an Evernote account, which can be used to log on to the client and the Evernote official website.

2. Create notes
Evernote is easy to operate. In Figure 4, I have marked common functions by location. For more information about English users, see.

2.1 create notes
Click the create new note button on the main interface to create a new note. Click the 1 option in Figure 5 to switch the handwritten or text note mode of the note. Click option 2 in Figure 5 to open the note in the independent window.

There is an interesting handwriting/graphic recognition feature in the handwriting mode. Through these features, you can recognize the graphics or text of the ghost style into regular graphics or text.

As shown in 7, after selecting the two twisting graphs drawn by the author and clicking "recongnize selection as shapes, irregular images are automatically recognized and converted into regular images. Similarly, Evernote supports recongnize selection a text. Unfortunately, this function cannot recognize Chinese characters.

After creating the notes, you can click the synchronize button on the main interface to synchronize your diary to your account resources on the Evernote official website, so that you can browse or edit these notes on other computers through the client or web interface.
3. Quick Resource Collection
What if I want to extract some information resources on the network when I create a new note manually? Don't worry. Evernote has three ways to quickly turn network resources into your notes.
3.1 use the resource collector
Click Tools> launch universal chipper in the menu bar of the Evernote main interface to start the Evernote resource collector. We can find it in the system notification area after it is started. Right-click the resource collector icon and choose show/hide floating windows from the shortcut menu to display or hide the collection floating box of the Evernote resource collector.
Tip: You can directly execute uniclipper.exe under the evernoteinstallation directory to quickly start the resource collector.

In any program, you only need to select the text/image to be collected, and then press the collect text resource button in the capture floating box, you can automatically add the text or image to your Evernote as a new note. After the collection, you can click the three buttons in the prompt box in the lower-right corner of the screen to add a tag, Delete the note, and send the note by email.

If the text or image you select is in the webpage, Evernote automatically adds a source link to the new note to facilitate you to search for the source of the resource.

TIPS: you do not need to open a TXT or JPG file. Select the file and click the collection button in the collection floating box, evernote automatically adds text/images in the file to your Evernote in the form of new notes.
Another button used to capture the floating frame is a screenshot. It can quickly capture the specified area of the current screen and add the captured image to your Evernote in the form of new notes.

3.2 use browser plug-ins
If you do not like to use collectors, you can try the Evernote plug-in on the mobile browser and add the webpage content to your Evernote in the form of new notes. Currently, Evernote has browser plug-ins for IE and Firefox respectively.

3.3 use shortcuts
If you still do not like the above two methods, there is a more convenient method, that is, after selecting the content to be collected, press CTRL + ALT + V to quickly add the selected content to your Evernote in the form of new notes. To use this function, You must select "use CTRL + ALT + V to paste to new note form any application" in tools → options → tape on the main menu bar of the Evernote interface.

Iv. Confidentiality of notes
Although you need a password to access our Evernote account to view notes, you can do the following if your notes need to be safer. Enter a note to be encrypted, select the text to be encrypted (the image cannot be encrypted), right-click the selected text, and select encrypt selected text from the pop-up menu) or press the shortcut key Ctrl + Shift + P. In the pop-up password setting box, you can set a separate view password for the selected text, and you can also add a password prompt, in case the password is too many to remember. Then, the encrypted text is encrypted and displayed.

To view the encrypted text, double-click ******** and enter the password in the pop-up Password dialog box to view the encrypted content. This decryption process is temporary. When you close this note, the encrypted text will be automatically re-encrypted. If you want to permanently decrypt the encrypted text, right-click it and select "decrypt permanently.

5. Easy to search for notes
When there are too many notes, it is hard to find them. In Evernote, we can use the timeline on the main interface to search for notes by time; you can also classify a note into different categories to search for it by category; you can also use the property-based search option on the main interface to search by "creation time", "modification time", "content attribute", and "note source; you can also use the Evernote search function.

No Evernote Installation
Not every computer has Evernote installed. What should I do if I want to edit or check my notes on a computer without Evernote installed? It doesn't matter. As long as the computer can connect to the Internet, you can log on to the Evernote web page through this URL for online editing or viewing notes.
