Under the Linux operating system, we sometimes open the TXT file under Windows, and found that the TXT file that can be displayed normally in Windows is garbled in Chinese.

The reason for this is that the Chinese compression of two operating systems is different, in the Windows environment, Chinese compression is generally GBK, and in the Linux environment for UTF8, which led to the normal display of the TXT file under Windows in the Linux environment open rendered garbled state.

Workaround: In Linux with iconv command, such as garbled file name is Shujujiegou.txt, then enter the following command in the terminal:

  Iconv-f gbk-t UTF8 shujujiegou.txt > Shujujiegou.txt.utf8
