How to plan your blog reading career

I want to leave school soon. I hope I can write down some of my Blog reading experience, give some reference to my teachers and sisters who are reading blogs or are about to read blogs, and plan my Blog reading career.

I studied engineering, so my point of view may be close to that of engineering students. According to my understanding, there is still a big difference between engineering and literature and science. Many of the so-called outstanding engineering students who hold books every day are unable to reject the temptation of direct blogs because of heavy courses and competitive incentives.

Ii. academic issues

the domestic environment determines that many engineering doctoral students are very similar to low-cost labor. Although you may have limited or even no ability to create value, but you have to work every day to complete the mentor's project on time. Learning VC and compiling Code is a basic condition. Even if you compile code, you cannot learn the essence of software engineering, you are just a skilled engineer. The so-called horizontal subject has little value for your academic research. I am very lucky to have met a mentor who is honest (this is a criterion for my evaluation of the mentor's Quality). I often go to the project to prove my ability out of the pressure I put on myself. There is a big difference between mentors. Many mentors are not hot topics, and we are often not interested in them. The mentor's transition to the lab direction makes his guidance very limited. Therefore, the mentor can give a general grasp of what it is, and to what extent it is entirely on his own. The mentor has no vertical subject, so it is also excited to do some horizontal projects. The mentor is not a saint, and the appropriate pursuit of interests within the scope of his/her powers can also be understood, A good relationship with the mentor is the key to whether your subject can be carried out. Don't expect the tutor to suddenly give you a good subject, because maybe the tutor doesn't know what to do for you, maybe he also wants you to provide some information, the waiting result is often complaints from the mentor. It is the most important thing to give full play to your own subjective initiative. For the remaining two years, if you concentrate on reading documents and writing articles, A few first-level articles are very easy (I have admitted 6 first-level articles (first author) and nearly 10 second-and third-level articles in the last two years ). Don't be afraid of rejection of articles. To put it bluntly, all the six articles I wrote at the beginning were rejected, and I voted for level 2. Always maintain an active and optimistic attitude. After you invest more, you will naturally understand the true meaning of writing articles.

3. Academic Exchange

If you are a new member of the lab, be sure to have a good relationship with others. Don't be too arrogant, don't just pull a friend to the lab to chat, don't talk too much, don't ask, but don't ask anything. 4. Pleasant attitude

Reading blogs is both bitter and bitter. Not only do you have to be good at learning, but also be good at relaxation. Do not mind the form of relaxation. You can exercise, play games, jump to the ground, and I believe you will not be addicted to this blog, I often work during the day and play games at night, which is very efficient. I think it is very suitable for myself. with games, learning makes sense. Don't stick to the form. The key is that you get happiness from it. It's not that boring to read blogs. If you get bored with learning experiments one day, you can play it. If you want to learn it, and you cannot play it, you can chat with a friend. After a chat, you will feel comfortable. 5. Writing articles

First of all, I have no articles on Sci and so on. For some engineering majors, it is too difficult. Maybe I am not good enough. I will only elaborate on the conventional method of writing articles. Generally speaking, it is difficult to write a higher-grade article from a horizontal topic, because we have already done things, and we often just repeat people's work, not innovative. You will find that the articles you write with a lot of effort based on your project experience are often a pile of spam in people's reviews, even if your articles may have practical value, it is even a bright spot in your actual project. However, review requires idea rather than practice. All the articles I rejected at the beginning are from this. Of course, this is generally targeted at level-1 publications. Even some level-2 publications will reject your articles because they are not innovative enough. What we need to do is to expand our project horizons. You can find a breakthrough in your professional fields. You need to know if your project includes some theories, are there any new advances in these theories. This is a key step. Once you think you are interested in the XX theory in the project, you can start your writing journey. First, you need to refer to a large number of Chinese and English documents based on a certain theoretical keyword. I think our school has provided good conditions. Select the articles you think are appropriate from the articles you search for in the keywords. For example, if you first read the abstract, you will find that after you read a large number of documents, you will find that another theory related to XX theory is more interested, and so on, until you find a suitable theory or method that you think can be innovated. This is a process from quantitative change to qualitative change. I cannot give a definite number of documents you can get a new idea or improved idea, but as long as you do, IDEA will certainly do.From my own experience, you can read 60-documents and 20 documents with precision. You will have an idea. Of course, this process is hard, sometimes it is even annoying, but it is just like reading blogs. In general, the level of domestic journals is still relatively low. I generally search for idea from English journals, and then find relevant articles from Chinese journals to help me understand, because many English articles are hard to understand, you need to look at how Chinese people explain how to understand it. In addition to some databases provided by the school, you also need to frequently use Google to access the literature. Therefore, the search technique is also very important. Of course, due to the long history of some materials (such as before 1990s), there is no electronic version. You need to go to the library to view and print the materials yourself. I have printed nearly 400 pages and 60-70 articles from the library, they are all very old classical theories, because when you look up the literature, you often need to read its references for understanding, and these documents are often very old. When you have idea, you can start writing. Of course, you need to understand the writing format. In fact, you basically understand it when you read the document, it is not too late to change the specific format of the journal. Someone may ask, can you write an article out of thin air without doing an experiment ?? Well, this is indeed a problem. Maybe the method you proposed is less effective after the experiment, but you may have written half of the article, that is, the method has already been elaborated, I think this is a problem of psychological satisfaction. You can think about it. After reading a large number of documents and finally having idea, I often have the impulse to write. At this time, the writing will have a clear idea and will be done in one breath. If I do not write it at this time, I will immediately perform an experiment, at this time, your thinking will be interrupted, because the proposal and implementation of the theory are two problems. Some theories may not be well implemented, or you are not capable of implementing it. Although we pay great attention to results for engineering, many methods have their advantages and disadvantages, and we often cannot provide perfect methods. Here are some tips. If you think your method is indeed desirable, you should try your best to strengthen its advantages after the results come out. The review is very sharp, maybe it's because of this kind of attention that you get a good idea. Writing a thesis is often referred to as "self-attention ". Although we advocate seeking truth, it is not in conflict with the encouragement of writing. Finally, I want to mention the writing tool. I use Word. Although some people recommend latax, I have never used it and it is hard to comment, at least the word version is basically accepted in China, as for the format orchestration problem, the editor will tell you.

Other software that needs to be mastered include MATLAB (used for simulation), mathematic (mathematical computing), Visio (flowchart), and Photoshop (image processing, not necessarily required, I don't have any experience in writing articles in English. 6. Internet access problems

7. Work Choices

During the course of Reading blogs, you need to find out what you want to do after graduation. You may need to make adjustments based on the actual situation. For example, due to some restrictions, if you think that you will not have great academic accomplishments, you must cultivate your other abilities, such as hands-on and practical abilities, because you will enter a large company in the future, it will compete with masters. What you need is not only academic competence, but also practical competence, because what the company needs first is your ability to create value. Maybe you think it is good to be a civil servant, so don't stay in the lab all day, make more friends, and participate in more activities. Although these seem to be against the original intention of Reading blogs, but things are changing. The process of Reading blogs is not only the growth of academics, but also the cultivation of comprehensive human quality and strength. Do not care too much about others' comments. Everyone has an independent path suitable for themselves. Do what they like. To be honest, I know that the Master's degree is enough for some large well-known Enterprises in China. It is a pity that the doctors have gone, and they do not need it, don't think that a doctor is not as valuable as a master's degree in some enterprises. If you want to develop better, try to win some well-known foreign companies, the atmosphere is good, and they do need doctors, but the requirements are high. Here I am referring to research institutions, such as GE and IBM R & D centers. Of course, for most doctors, it may be more important to go to schools and research institutions and continue to engage in their own research, your evaluation criteria are the level and quantity of articles you have published, topics, and achievements.

8. Cooperation attitude

Unlike a master's degree, it is impossible for a doctor to touch everything, and each point is not very refined. The doctor is narrow and specialized, and aims to train experts in a certain direction, rather than full talents. Although many disciplines are connected with each other, you cannot change the subject after determining the subject of the study. Do not report on this mentality. If you want to learn everything, you may understand everything to help you find a job or show off your capital. Even if you are a project, you do not need to learn anything. You must be good at sharing your work with others and never learn anything to show your abilities. This will consume a lot of energy. If you are looking for a job, you will be able to seek help if you have no solid skills. Because you are a doctor, if the company needs it, it will certainly send a knowledgeable person to investigate you. When you graduate from a doctor, you should have this confidence. No one understands what you study better than you. You come to the stage to reply, it is to show your achievements or popularize knowledge to the record-breaking committee, rather than waiting to be asked.

9. Zhizhi knows

You are not all talented, so you may not understand a lot of things, or you need to understand, so everyone is your teacher, do not be afraid of shame, do not understand, even if you face your younger brother, younger sister, if you have any questions, you can ask them not to make them feel that you are a versatile person. This is actually not good. They will increase their dependence on you and affect your learning initiative, the balance between each other is the key to the ability to fully communicate. Are you willing to exchange comments with your classmates or with your teachers ?, Don't make the mentor think that you won't be able to get involved without your participation. In the end, you will find that you have been turned around in a busy manner, but you have not learned anything. You must dare to say something not very understandable to the mentor, be good at recommending the right person to the mentor to do the right work, so as to ensure the continuity of the project after you leave.

10. Learn a little English every day

English is very important for a doctoral student, whether for academic research, communication, or looking for a job in the future. The ability of English is not only the ability to understand and read documents, but also the ability to hear and hear. Proficient English is a stepping stone for you to find a good job. If you want to go abroad or enter a foreign company in the future, English is even more important. I have interviewed several foreign companies, such as GE. The interviews are all in English, and I have to make an academic report on the site to receive questions from on-site experts. This is also true for the IBM Beijing Research Center. Even if you do not enter a foreign company, your good English skills will benefit you in all aspects. You can understand the report, be confident in presentation, and enjoy the original movies. You don't need to spend too much time in English. As long as you can spend half an hour every day, even if it is 10 minutes, you will find that your return is definitely worth the money when you graduate. All the people I contact who want to find a job after graduation will regret why I didn't spend some time practicing English.

11. self-confidence

There are some comments that doubt the academic level of the doctor, the so-called first-class undergraduate course, Dr. sanstream's statement, sometimes there will be some decadent comments about the doctor's version. What I want to say is that some things are caused by the big environment and some are extremely boring. We must be clear that it is proud to have the opportunity to read a doctor from Zhejiang University. The attitude of common people towards the doctor is admirable because it is the highest degree, it is your recognition of your learning ability. Reading a doctor requires courage and it cannot be accomplished without perseverance. The reason why many masters do not want to attack their blogs is their own.
