If you regularly visit the DistroWatch website, you will find that the Linux system popularity rankings of every year are almost unchanged.
The top 10 have always been those distributions, while others may be in the leaderboard now, and may not be there by the end of the year.
About DistroWatch a feature that everyone doesn't understand is called a candidate list, which includes the following types of distributions:
- has not yet been reviewed
- Missing or defective components
- The relevant English information is not rich enough
- None of this project seems to have been maintained.
Some of the most potential, but not yet reviewed, Linux system distributions are worth paying attention to. Note, however, that since the DistroWatch site temporarily does not have the time or manpower to review these new distributions, they may never be able to access the site's home page rankings.
As a result, we will share with you the 5 new Linux distribution systems that have the most potential for the next 2017 years and will do some simple introductions to them.
As the ecosystem of Linux systems is very active, you can expect this article to be continuously updated, and perhaps it will be completely different in the next year.
Anyway, let's have a look at these new systems.
1. Semicodeos Operating System
The Semicodeos operating system is a Linux distribution designed for programmers and WEB developers. It includes all out-of-the-box code compilers, various text editors, the most popular programming language IDE environments, and team collaboration programming tools.
Even if you're not a programmer or developer, but expect to be one of them, the Semicodeos system comes with a Scratch IDE tool that gives you guidance when you start. Although the system is still in beta, I believe this Linux distribution, developed in Sudan, will make the Linux open source community more colorful in the coming year.
You can find out more details on their website.

2. Enchantmentos Operating System
The Enchantmentos operating system is a Xubuntu 16.04-based release that includes some specially selected applications with low memory requirements. This is a good choice for both new and old equipment.
It also follows the long-term support cycle of the Xubuntu system and is designed to provide reliable and secure Linux applications. In addition to this, even for non-technical personnel, its built-in applications are very easy to use.
Also, the Enchantmentos system is proud of its creators, even when booting from a USB storage device, which also exhibits ultra-strong performance.

3. Escuelas Linux Operating system
Escuelas Linux operating system ("Linux School" in Spanish) is a Linux distribution based on Bodhi, which is primarily designed for primary and secondary education and includes a wide variety of education-related applications. Please ignore its Spanish name and it also provides full English support.
The other aspect of the Escuelas Linux system is that it uses a lightweight desktop environment, low memory, and low storage space requirements. Its official website claims that the system requires only a few megabytes of memory and a GB of hard disk storage space to run flawlessly.

4. Ovios Operating System
In contrast to the previous Linux distributions, the Ovios operating system is not a multipurpose operating system. Instead, it is described as an enterprise-class storage operating system, although it is not based on any distribution, but is fully compatible with the Linux standard baseline (LSB).
You can use the Ovios system as a powerful storage device capable of handling ISCSI, NFS, SMB, or FTP services, and in addition to the latest version of the Ovios system for replication and high availability. So, what are you waiting for? Go and try it.

5. Open Network Linux
The ONL Operating System (abbreviated) is a Debian-based distribution, and (just like the Ovios operating system), it is not a multipurpose operating system.
If you are a network administrator, you should be glad to find the operating system (if you didn't know it before), you can apply the ONL system to the bare switch device and replace the expensive and authorized operating system.
It is worth noting that the ONL operating system is known for its wide range of out-of-the-box software, and that these software are related to Web-facing bare devices. Are you ready to try?
Summarize
You should note that all of these distributions have been submitted to the DistroWatch website for review in recent months. If you are interested in some of these, you can view the candidate List page and click the recommended button next to the release name. What you do will push the DistroWatch website to arrange for the relevant personnel to review the system.
