Microsoft released its new Windows Live product Windows Live writer in August 14. This product downloads a file called Windows Live writerProgramWrite and publish to blog (including Windows Live Spaces ). Friends who use blog services such as Windows Live Spaces should not miss it.
WYSIWYG authoring
WYSIWYG writing: you can know the real effect after the release before the release, writer understands the title, Font, color, background image, section spacing, blank pages, and quick reference of your blog, and allows you to edit your publishing in these styles.
Writer also includes other views including HTML source code and webpage preview.
Photo Publishing
Photo publishing: writer can insert, customize, and upload photos to your blog. Once you insert an image, writer provides an extended editing tool to modify the size, text surround, border, and apply the graphic effect. In addition, writer allows you to specify a small thumbnail to link to a large image. Photos can be directly uploaded to the blog service provider (newmediaobject API must be supported) or the FTP server.
Map Publishing: You can use writer to insert a Windows Live local map and publish it directly. The better thing is that you can directly customize the map in writer-including the display of road, route, or aerial view details. You can click the map to view it in Windows Live local.
Writer SDK: allows developers to extend the writer function and release additional content types. For example, images from online photo publishing websites, embedded video and voice players, product index images or links to e-commerce websites, tags from tag services, and others.
Compatibility: writer is a great Windows Live Spaces client that can run on many other blogs, such as blogger, livejournal, typepad, and Wordpress. Writer supports RSD (really simple discoverability), metaweblog API, and movable type API.
