Step 1

First of all login to your Windows server and open the server Manager. In the Server Manager click on "Add Roles and Features".

After that Domain Controller option page would be opened in which you need to select the Forest functional level and do Main functional level. You can select these from a list of available options. Here I had selected Windows Server in both of them. You must also provide the password so, case a problem occurrs you can recover from it.

Now the DNS Options page is opened, on this page just need to click "Next".

On the Next page of the automatic NetBios name would be provided, if the need to provide any new name, and just click on the "N Ext "button.

Now various paths for various files would be a provided, here also just click on "Next".

Now you'll reach the installation page, here click on the ' Install ' button to begin the installation.

After the installation is completed your server would restart on it ' s own and it'll take a long time to restart so just W AIT for the procedure to complete.

Now the can check whether your Domain is correctly installed and working or not. For this go to the settings of your server, there you'll find an option "server info," click on this option.

As-you-click on this option, you'll see if the Domain option virtual.net is provided; This means, your Domain is correctly installed and working.

Step 11

On your Desktop create a New Shortcut with the location type ' Dsa.msc ' and click on ' Next '.

This would show you the name of the shortcut, click on "Finish" button to complete the process.

Step12

On your Desktop a new golden colored icon'll be created.

Open this icon and you'll see the virtual.net Domain residing there.
