Requirement Management in visual paradigm

The requirement may come from descriptions in some documents, or through interviews or observations (Karl E. wiegers's <software requirements> ). Visual paradigm provides tools to analyze requirements.

 

First, generate a requirement from a file or record the requirement in the form of a document.

If you have a document, you can briefly describe the system requirements. You can import important text parts for analysis. This is textual analysis. after the text is imported, use the highlight tool to select the text that may generate requirements. The program will list these options below. Right-click these items to generate them to the requirement grid for further detailed definition.

In this way, while constantly analyzing text descriptions, we can build some system components.

 

2. Requirement grid is the place for centralized management of demand projects. Here, you can classify the original requirements before filtering and defining them. All demand projects can be evolved here. VP provides many related features to help identify various demand projects and generate further use case analysis files.

 

You can set more details for each project. It is a project management setting that includes version planning, priority, current status, and difficulty levels. The system may not be enough initially. You can use "Configure look-ups" on the interface for configuration.

In the process of requirement analysis, requirement grid is a useful organization tool. However, visual paradigm does not seem to have good baseline and tracing functions.

 

In the demand interview process, some requirements are recorded as audio at the scene. Visual paradigm allows you to specify an audio file for a requirement, which is also a good application.

 

The search function provided by visual paradigm in requirment is relatively weak, and there is no filtering function. It is still difficult to manage a large number of required projects.
