I. What is rescue mode
Rescue mode is a pattern that is used to save you from a situation. In normal operation, your Linux system uses files located on the system's hard drive to handle everything-running programs, storing files, and so on. However, in some cases, Linux may not be fully operational and you may not be able to access files on the system's hard disk. With rescue mode, you can access files stored on the system's hard drive even if you can't run Red Hat Enterprise Linux from your hard drive.
Two. The role of the rescue model
Someone saw the first paragraph, will say, the system is broken, we can enter the single-user mode Ah, then if we do not enter the single-user mode, and even unable to open the Linux system, what should be done? In this way, we can see the effect of the rescue mode.
In simple terms, the rescue model generally has these points:
1. Change the root password;
2. Recover hard disk, file system operation
3. System cannot start (configuration error, boot error, etc.)
Three. Difference between rescue mode and single-user mode
There is a big difference between rescue mode and single user mode.
Single-user mode is the same as when the system is installed on a running level in the system and the Windows security mode is the same
The rescue mode is equivalent to the win PE system of Window System
Win PE is a very small memory operating system, and rescue is similar
Therefore, single-user mode can be used as long as the system is installed.
And rescue mode requires a system CD
Four. How to activate rescue mode
1. Boot into BIOS, (different computer boot BIOS is different)
