System: Windows 2003 R2
Problem: Install the 2003R2 version, the BIOS can identify 4G memory, after installing the system, can only recognize 256MB memory.
"How to solve the problem"
Enter BIOS as shown:
Setting the original OS Install Mode = "on" to "off" solves the problem that the DELL server does not recognize 4G memory .
Analysis
Determine the maximum amount of memory available to the operating system. ' On ' Sets the maximum memory to 256 MB. Off will make all system memory available to the operating system. Some operating systems cannot be installed in a system with a memory capacity greater than 2 GB. Enable this option ("on") during the installation of the operating system, or disable this option ("Off") when the installation is complete.
