Use this tool to perform a new installation of the latest version of Windows 10 Home Edition or Windows 10 Professional Edition, and to remove applications that you have installed on your computer or preinstalled on your computer. You will be able to choose to keep your personal files.
If you want to upgrade an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 computer, go to "get Windows 10" to learn more about upgrade options. Please review the following important considerations:
- If you use this tool, you will remove all applications that are not standard Windows, including other Microsoft applications, such as Office. In addition, most of the applications installed by your computer manufacturer, such as the manufacturer's application, support applications, and drivers, will also be removed. You will not be able to recover deleted applications, and if you want to keep them, you will need to reinstall them manually.
- Because of this tool, you may lose digital licenses, digital content associated with your application, or other digital rights for your application, which may affect your ability to use paid applications or paid application-related content. For this reason, we recommend that you do not use this tool on any computer that you want to ensure that all application and application-related content, including Microsoft applications, such as Office, are always properly installed and licensed.
Make sure you have the following:
- Internet connection for downloading the tool and the Windows 10 image. You may have to pay Internet service provider fees.
- There is enough available data storage space on the computer where you want to perform a clean installation. Please note that the download content and image size exceed 3GB.

Follow the instructions below to perform a clean installation of Windows 10.
Before you start, back up all the content you want to keep. Do not use this tool on any computer that has an application to keep.
- Start the tool.
- View and accept the license terms. If the license terms are not accepted, the tool is exited.
- Select the content you want to keep. If you want to keep your personal files, choose to keep only the personal files option.

If you want to delete all content, select no option.
Regardless of the choice you make in this step, this tool will perform a new installation of Windows. All applications shipped with or manually installed on your computer will be removed, including paid applications. The standard applications of Windows 10, such as Mail and Edge, will be retained. In addition, some customization settings, including the manufacturer's default customizations, such as power and sleep settings, will be changed to the default settings for Windows, which may affect your hardware performance.
- Select the OK button to begin performing the installation. The rest of the process will be performed automatically, but you can cancel the operation as needed before your computer restarts.
- The tool will automatically start installing Windows 10.
- When the button is dimmed, all steps are performed automatically. You can close the tool to cancel the operation, if necessary.
- After you complete the new installation, if you experience a missing driver, go to the set up--> update and secure-->windows update to download the latest device drivers. We also recommend that you visit the computer manufacturer's Web site for information about updated drivers.
