Restart Gnome GUI command in Ubuntu

Sometimes when I use Ubuntu to boot the desktop, I find that the switch button, time and gadgets on the top panel are messy and incomplete.

Run the following command to restart Gnome!

Ctrl + Alt + F1 enter the command line interface

Login

$ Sudo/etc/init. d/MCM restart

For the kde Environment

$ Sudo/etc/init. d/kdm restart
