FTP breakpoint resume (advanced for hackers)
Hotmail has a question. If you do not use ftp tools such as wget CuteFTP
Does it take advantage of Windows's ftp.exe to implement resumable data transfer?
After discussing about 5 or 6 pages of posts, we all come to the conclusion that this is not acceptable.
I even asked babybat. She thinks UNIX is okay, but it cannot be done without programming in windows.
But I am still unwilling to give it away.
After analyzing CuteFTP commands, I used remote commands to simulate sending them to the FTP server.
The result is a failure...
The following three commands are used:
Quote
Rest
RETR
InProgramThe RETR operation fails.
Later, after zzzevazzz research, it was necessary to add the suffix TMP temporary file before it could be successful (I have also considered the problem of temporary files, so I don't know why)
In addition, you must use the GET command.
Then merge the files with copy/B.

The following animation demonstrates resumable Upload by using only the FTP program provided by windows.
OK now begin down
We use the www.20cn.org file to download
Simulate interrupted download at a certain time
And then use resumable upload.
View downloaded file bytes
Remote reply download using the REST command
Remember to rename the downloaded file with the suffix TMP
Use get to download
Have you seen it? The transfer is complete.
Then merge the files with copy/B.
Let's test it
OK pass
