[Rhbench] Introduction to Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Management

Purpose: The system administrator can complete the following level system management tasks: install and configure a Red Hat Linux workstation and access the existing network. Intended audience: Linux or Unix users who intend to become a system administrator have basic knowledge about Red Hat Enterprise Linux, but hope to have the opportunity to participate in more in-depth technical training. Prerequisites: RH033 or equivalent Linux user experience. You can participate in the RH033 pre-evaluation test on the official Red Hat website to help you determine whether you have sufficient technical experience to attend the course. · Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux5 through interaction and using Kickstart
· Manage common hardware
· Create and maintain a Linux File System
· Configure an NFS client and autofs.
· Understand system and service Initialization
· Perform user and group management
· Connect workstations to networks running Common Services
· Configure a workstation as a client for NIS, DNS, and DHCP services
· Manage the Linux Printing Subsystem
· Automated task management with at, cron, and anacron
· Maintain and interpret system logs
· Back up the file system to tape and back up in tar format
· Install, upgrade, query, and delete software packages with RPM
· Configure the X Window System and GNOME Desktop Environment
· Basic performance, memory, and process management
· Configure basic host Security
· Basic troubleshooting
