4.4 Oracle Table Space Management

The ORACLE table space files are placed in directories such as $oracle_home/oradata/opt/oracle/product/10/oradata

Oracle table space supports hot swap

That is, when the Oracle runtime discovers that the table space is not enough, you can directly open the Oracle's management interface to dynamically give it a hard disk space, or even if you install a hard drive into the service, Oracle can extend the table space to the newly inserted disk at runtime.
