Many people asked this question when pushing the Twitter record. Could you make fewer followers on the list? Others suggested that the threshold be linked to the number of followers on the list, for example, the more followers, the more difficult it is to list.

Because there is no clear association between the number of followers and the value of Weibo messages, it is not suitable for simply and roughly inverse proportion.

When creating a real-time list of popular forwarded messages (t.rtmeme.com) for domestic Weibo websites, such as Sina Weibo, I adopted the following simple rules to reduce the chances of listing celebrities.

 

Measure the test taker's knowledge about the number of contributors.

Whether a message can be listed depends on its number of forwards and comments. However, if there are many celebrities (many fans), it is naturally more likely to be forwarded, however, celebrity messages may not have any value. Although t.rtmeme.com has been preventing celebrities from pushing the list, it is difficult to prevent celebrities or popular users.

Therefore, you need to introduce the number of consumers in the formula t.rtmeme.com.

In general, in Sina Weibo, 1 K recipients mean that the number of forwards may be single digits. The number of forwards of 10 K recipients may reach an average of two digits, so it can be similar to a forwarding rate of 1: 1 K.

@ Feng Xiaogang, a celebrity with a quota of 0.88 million, has a forwarding factor of 880 (that is, the average number of forwarding requests is expected to be 880). If one of his messages is forwarded 1000 times, so 1000/880 = 1.14, this number indicates whether the number of forwards exceeds expectation.

Here are some examples:

The number of recipients is 31352 @, and the forwarding factor is 31; the number of messages forwarded by him is 544, so 544/31 = 17.5, it indicates that the value of the message is obviously better than that of Feng Xiaogang.

@ Lee Kai-Fu with a quota of 1,894,927, and the forwarding factor is 1894. If the number of messages to be forwarded is 5351, 5351/1984 = 2.69, it is still above the standard.

@ Ren Zhiqiang, whose number is 1,981,311, has a message forwarding level of 85/1981 = 0.04, which is not worth the list (if this factor is not taken into account, by forwarding a large number of comments, it can certainly be on the list ).

@ Toutiao.com, which contains 917,734 million followers, forwards 320 messages with a level of 320/917 = 0.34. The average number of messages is not listed.

@ Sina entertainment, which has 434,135 followers, forwards 99 messages with a level of 99/434 = 0.22. Therefore, many accounts maintained by Sina, most of the messages sent are not worth the list.

 

Therefore, you can set a forwarding level threshold. For example, if the forwarding level of each message on the list is greater than 0.5, the stars, celebrities, and people will not be able to publish a message at will.
