Background

Principle

The living room is the main route, the WAN port is the entrance of the optical connection, the LAN port is empty;

The room is a sub-route, Wan port is empty, LAN port can be empty (the room in the computer through the sub-routed WiFi), you can also access the network cable (the computer in the room through the network of sub-routed cable).

The sub-route has a much stronger wireless reception than a computer, so you can use a secondary route to receive the signal from the main route and share it with the equipment in the room.

But to make sure

1. The main route turns on the SSID broadcast function, and the sub-route is preferably turned on. (usually open, easy to scan the presence of the route of the device)

2. the channel of the primary route needs to be unified with the sub-route .

3. Both the primary and secondary routes require the wireless bridging function (WDS). (Typically, current routes are available)

4. Turn off the DHCP feature for the secondary route.

Realize

1. Main route set channel, 1-13 randomly select one.

2. The sub-route setting channel is the same as the primary route, it is best to change the WAN port IP to the same network segment as the primary route, and turn off the DHCP function of the secondary route.

3. The secondary route turns on the WDS function, scan to the main route WiFi, enter the main route wifi password to add.
