Oracle CEO Larry Ellison announced last week that a new technology alliance will be established, including Salesforce.com, NetSuite, and Microsoft. This morning, former competitor --Salesforce.com and Oracle announced a nine-year cooperation plan to integrate the cloud services of both parties.
The cooperation will cover all layers of cloud computing, namely applications, platforms and infrastructure.
For Salesforce, it plans to standardize on the Oracle Linux operating system, Exadata engineering system, Oracle database, and Java middleware platform.
For Oracle, the company plans to integrate Salesforce.com with Oracle Fusion HCM and Financial Cloud and provide core technologies for the application and platform of Salesforce.com. Salesforce.com will also use Oracle Fusion HCM and Financial Cloud applications throughout the company's finance.
"Larry and I both think Salesforce.com and Oracle need to integrate our cloud services," said Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce ."
"Marc and I both believe that it is important to work together," said Larry Ellison, CEO of oracle ."
Note: first, the cloud is interoperable, which is why you see the transaction. Second, traditional vendors such as oracle have something new vendors such as Salesforce.com need, and vice versa. (Wang Xudong/compile Zhong Hao/review)
