Iv. Accessing Windows clients
After SMB startup, you can already access the machine running Windows without making any settings. There are now two machines, running Linux and Windows98, respectively, with the host name Redhat and Lily. Lily has the directory "download", has the printer "HP", the directory is set to "full access", the password is "ABC".
1, visit the shared directory on Lily.
The first step is to view the shared resources of Lily's machine, "Smbclient-l//lily", and when prompted, enter the password to list the resources available to Lily.
The second step, "Mkdir/mnt/download", establishes a directory under "/mnt".
The third step, "Mount-t smbfs-o username=abc,password=abc//lily/download/mnt/download", links the shared directory on Lily to Redhat's "/mnt/download" Below. Next, you can access the shared directory as you would with your local hard drive. You can also edit "/etc/rc.d/rc.local" to add "mount-t smbfs-o username=abc,password=abc//lily/download/mnt/download" to the last line of the file, so that As soon as the system starts, the shared directory is hooked up as well.
