Adjusting the background refers to printing the image (but not the background). This copy feature removes the background color and can be helpful when copying an original with a colored background, such as a newspaper or catalog. If you want to set up, follow these steps:
1. Press the "Copy" button on the control panel and press the "menu" key.
2. When the "copy function" is displayed on the screen, press the "OK" button again.
3. Press the Left/right arrow on the Control Panel to select "Adjust Background" and press "OK" button.
4. Press the Left/right arrow on the Control Panel to select the desired options (off, auto, enhanced level 1, enhanced level 2, purge level 1-clear level 4), here to select "Automatic" as an example, and then press "OK".
The details of the options are as follows:
OFF: Do not use this feature.
Auto: Optimize the background.
Enhanced level 1~2: The larger the number, the brighter the background.
Purge level 1~4: The larger the number, the brighter the background.
5. Press the "Stop/clear" key to return to ready mode.
