Note: I have not used all SAP bi products, so the following descriptions may be incorrect.
1.1: Let's first look at the data warehouse (DW)
SAP biw is a multidimensional database with a management platform. It provides an ETL platform in BW for ETL.
It is worth mentioning that BW provides a standard bapi interface that allows third-party ETL tool providers to extract data from SAP data warehouses, resulting in many ETL third-party tools. No DW exists in the acquired Bo product line. Di is a data ETL platform provided by Bo.
1.2: data semantic layer of the Data Source
Before creating a report or analysis, you must create a model, which depends on the data source. Generally, oledb and other data sources can be directly referenced, but Bo provides a semantic layer for the data source, universe (BO): This semantic layer. My understanding is business abstraction and associated layers, it is easy to use in other Bo report/analysis design tools.
1.3: OLAP
SAP's BW has OLAP server, but it is not a mainstream OLAP server. It only supports Bo and SAP clients and SAP Business data.
The structure is highly correlated. At the front-end, SAP provides Bi (Web) analysis, and Bo has OLAP (desktop) intelligence.
1.4: Specific analysis
Bo provides Web intellegence and Polestar (Bi search engine ).
1.5: Enterprise Report
Bo has a classic acquisition: Crystal Report (BO ). SAP has report Builder (will be replaced by Crystal Report)
1.6: frame warehouse (visualization)
Bo has crystal xcelsius, which can be used for highly visual display and dashboard builder.
SAP has a web app desinger (which will be replaced by Bo's product line ).
Bo Bi widgets is mainly used for personalized indicator integration, such as KPI.
Bi mobile is used by wireless devices to obtain Bi data.
2.7: mining/Prediction and Analysis
Bo has predictive for prediction. Voyager is an OLAP data mining tool suitable for financial and business analysts.
2.8: Portal
Bo has infoview and sap bw has a dedicated portal.

Bo: bpm (Enterprise Performance Management), EIM (enterprise information management)
Sap: bpm, EIM, SEM (enterprise strategic management), BPS (Enterprise Budget System)
2.10: Others

3: Experience (read so many products and talk about the general experience)
3.1: after SAP acquired Bo, it basically achieved full coverage on the BI product line, and even some options can be selected in some links. It can be seen that sap's goal is to achieve full coverage of Bi.
3.2: Bo's original products are highly tool-oriented and very professional. Of course, Bo is already the leader in this field.
3.3: Product maturity is high. sap and Bo have a large number of Bi implementation customers, and their products are very mature. Maturity is sometimes reflected in the simplicity of functions, and the strength of functions should be determined based on actual applications (we often make design mistakes, often because of insufficient understanding or experience, this often leads to the failure of a pre-research project ).
3.4: for professional bi-Supported Applications, SAP is already far away, with bpm, EIM, SEM, BPS ...... (Of course, most of them also come from acquisitions)
3.5: At last, I have to talk about Chinese-style reports, which are too distinctive (most of which span it and technology and are incomprehensible). Here, SAP products should have some problems. Of course, this is also a breakthrough for domestic Bi vendors. For example, the concept of expanding the presentation of domestic reports is not provided by SAP's report production tools.
