A) The translation function in SAP allows you to modify the following types of text:

• Interface text)
• Screen text)
• Modify menu text
• Modify the transaction code text

B) how to modify screen text

There are two ways to modify the text of the screen field,

Method 1: The text of the screen field is from the text of the data element corresponding to the screen field. In this case, you only need to modify the text of the data element.

Method 2: The text of the screen field is defined directly on the screen. You need to modify the screen.

Taking the GR-bsd iv field in the above Po as an example, first we can view the text source of the field on the screen.

Move the cursor to the GR-bsd iv field and click F1. Then, select technical information. You can view the three fields.

The screen corresponding to this field is (Program saplmegui, screen number 1317)

Double-click the screen number above to go to the screen maker interface.

Click generail ATTR in the element list, find the screen field MEPO1317-WEBRE, you can find that the dictionary attribute of the screen field is F, commonly used dictionary attribute is two

L 1, 2, 3, 4 indicates that the screen text of the field is taken from the text in the data element corresponding to the field.

L f indicates that the screen text of this field is directly defined on the screen.

We can see that the screen text of the field to be modified is defined on the screen. Click the menu to go to/translate.

Enter the source and target languages. The source languages can be German.

Double-click megui (screen maker text 0

Change the description from gr-bsd iv to the delivery-based IV, and then click Save.

Run the transaction code me23n again to view the purchase order.

The description of the screen text has changed. Check whether the English environment is correct.

At this point, the field has been modified.

If the text of the screen field comes from the data element, it is easier to modify the text.

Take the field in the purchase order as an example. The field "Tax Code" is expected to be described as "tax type ".

Click F1 and view the screen properties (same as above)

We found that the tax code text comes from the data element mwskz, and is taken from the data element's 'medium text'

Execute the transaction code cmod, click the menu, go to, text enhancement, keyword, and change

Data Element corresponding to the input tax code: mwskz

Changing the field description in to "tax type" depends on the system settings and may require a request for modification. (Change request)

Check the purchase order again. The description field of the tax code has been changed to the tax type.

Note: After the screen text is modified, you need to wait for a moment to see the modified result.
