Sap crm progress and version clarification

Since the overall sap product line has been transforming to the web and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) architectures recently, sap crm certainly cannot stay out of the box. Sap crm On-Demand

Sap crm 5.0 = mysap CRM 2005

Sap crm 5.1 = sap CRM 2006 S

 

The above two versions of sap crm look like a 5.0, a 5.1. In fact, they are two completely different products.

Mysap CRM 2005 (SAP crm5.0) is the latest "traditional" sap CRM product. It is an important component of mysap business suite, target customers are customers who have already used sap erp products, and can also be applied to new customers. The sap crm product we have discussed for a long time mainly refers to it.

Sap crm 2006 S (SAP crm5.1) is a brand new SAP product. The reason for this is that it:

• Is the first product that fully supports the esoa (Enterprise SOA, that is, SAP's SOA concept) architecture.
• Both on-demand and on-premise are supported.
• Currently, it is an independent product and is not part of mysap business suite. However, it can also be integrated with sap erp Using Middleware.
• The New Interface (UI) technology is developed based on the original IC WebClient, and the SAP portal is not required here.
• The next version of sap crm 2005 6 s will be merged with the next version of mysap CRM and used as part of mysap business suite. Later versions of the UI will be unified to the current sap CRM s interface.
• It is the unified interface used by sap crm s and sap crm products in the future. SAP is called the CRM Web Client UI, which will also be the only UI used by sap crm after, now the sap gui and pcui (CRM + portal) official support used by sap crm are all stopped.
