A movie file consists of three parts: File Header, data block, and index block. The data block contains the actual data stream, that is, the sequence data of images and sounds, which is the object body. Index blocks include the list of data blocks and their locations in files. Method: drag the RM file to be repaired to the RMFix program icon. At this time, RMFix runs in DOS mode and displays a menu. Press the "R" key to recreate the index data. For RM files that can only play A part of the image, press the "A" key to switch to the automatic repair mode, and press the "2" key to start checking all data blocks, RMFix scans the entire file and fixes corrupted data blocks. After that, re-create the index data, and then the RM file can be played normally. Once the RM file is damaged, you can use RealMedia Analyzer to fix it: start the program to enter the DOS operation interface, and enter "rma-f aaa. rm "command, so that the RMA program can automatically scan video files. When there is a bad data block during the scanning process, it will automatically repair until all the data has been completely repaired.

DivX needs to be rebuilt

We can use DivFix to fix common DivX files. It allows you to watch undownloaded DivX (AVI) movies, rebuild error indexes in files, and perform error detection to automatically check error messages in audio/video streams. After importing the incomplete video file to the DivFix program, click "Rebuild Index". DivFix creates an Index for the file, you can quickly forward, backward, or drag the time bar with the mouse. To fix ASF and WMV files, we usually use ASFTools.
