Today, I saw an article on the Internet and clicked to open the link. I was very excited. In the words of the original author, performance excellence was the fastest Android simulator in history (none ), the second-level boot and shutdown speed is enough for you to worship (roughly estimated to be 5-20 s). Running the android simulator on my Mac is almost less than 20 seconds. It's really amazing. I don't need to talk about it anymore, let's take a look at genymotion's true nature.
Environment: Mac OSX 10.8.4
Preparation:
1. Register a genymotion account
2. Download The genymotion installation package
3. Install vitualbox
4. Install the Eclipse plug-in
If you encounter any problems during installation, you can find the answer here and click the open link.
When running the genymotion Eclipse plug-in for the first time, you must set a simple setting and enter the installation directory of genymotion application.
The steps above are not far from success.
Next, let's try this mysterious tool,
(1) Start the genymotion app. (If problems still occur here, it is estimated that vitualbox is not installed or not started. If neither of them is enabled, find it in genymotion question list)
(2) After genymotion is started, we will see the following interface:
There is no device information in the beginning, because a simulator has been installed.
(3) Click the Add button to add the simulator we need
Enter the account information you want to register, click the virtual device in the left-side Navigation Pane, and click Add to download the device. This may take some time and you can wait patiently.
(4) select one and click play to start our created virtual machine.
(5) speed is here, the pleasure you know
Then let's play with it.
