SCCM TP4 Deploying the Windows 10 operating system
An important feature of the SCCM server is the deployment of the operating system. SCCM provides an important solution in the operating system batch deployment scenario: 0 Touch Installation. It is known that there are four solutions for deploying the Microsoft operating system, a standard image deployment, a custom image deployment, a light touch deployment, and a 0 touch deployment. Where light touch deployment refers to the combination of WDS and MDT for operating system deployment, the 0 touch deployment is SCCM combined with WDS. In fact, compared to the SCCM and MDT, the basic function is similar, cannot be the task sequence and other components can be more delicate control. With MDT-based friends, it's not difficult to implement SCCM to deploy an operating system. Here's an example of how you can use SCCM2012 to implement a Windows 7 X86 release deployment. Let's start with the simplest model, get the image from the Windows7 installation CD, and deploy it to the client bare metal.
1. Configure DHCP
SCCM needs to configure specific options on the DHCP server when it deploys the operating system. In this example, our DHCP server and ad are deployed on a single server. On the DHCP server, right-click Server Options-configuration options:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 234 "title=" clip_image002 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image002 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/38/ Wkiol1dorcibnlyiaab13savyxy839.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
In server options, locate the "66 Boot server hostname" option, the 66 option is to specify the PXE server, we can describe the PXE server with a domain name or IP, as shown in:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 357 "title=" clip_image003 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image003 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/39/ Wkiom1dormvi5vzmaag4hz91omm075.png "border=" 0 "/>
After configuring the 66 option, find the "67 Startup file name" option. option is populated with the bootstrapper name to be downloaded from the PXE server. Note that 64-bit operating system deployment is supported if X64 is filled in, and 32-bit and 64-bit system deployments are supported if you fill out X86, as shown in:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 365 "title=" clip_image004 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image004 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/82/39/ Wkiom1dormyrqz0-aahygnngkka177.png "border=" 0 "/>
2. Configuring PXE Boot
In the SCCM console, locate the distribution point in the site system role:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 370 "title=" clip_image006 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image006 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/82/38/ Wkiol1dorczdh0ncaacw9jycdfk171.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Right-click Distribution Point "SCCM. contoso.com "Click Properties:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 251 "title=" clip_image008 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image008 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/82/3A/ Wkiom1dorm7hvkbnaacwa0bschk943.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
In the properties of the distribution point, tick enable PXE for clients. Note that with this option, WDS is automatically installed if WDS is not installed on the SCCM server. Based on experience, if WDS is prone to problems before it is manually installed, it is recommended that you also install the WDS components automatically by enabling PXE at this time.
650) this.width=650; "height=" 430 "title=" clip_image010 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image010 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/82/38/ Wkiol1dorc7h1jnfaacqi6q0lji478.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
3. Configure Network Access Account
The SCCM client uses the Local system account to perform the SCCM tasks, but the local system account does not have network access rights. Since the operating system is bare-metal when the computer account does not have network access, we need to configure a network access account to provide the necessary permissions. Select the Configure software distribution role in the SCCM console:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 286 "title=" clip_image012 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image012 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/3A/ Wkiom1dornccmnxxaacm4ekumty933.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Specify a domain account in the network access, this account has the normal domain user's permission, here I use domain administrator. As shown in the following:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 533 "title=" clip_image014 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image014 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/3A/ Wkiom1dornkszgduaadhdxpkrlg369.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
4. Configure Boot image
To navigate to the boot image in SCCM Manager, we need to configure two boot images. As shown, we introduce the X86 boot image as an example, and the X64 image is configured the same way. As shown, we choose to distribute the image:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 265 "title=" clip_image016 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image016 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/82/38/ Wkiol1dordhcak0taacmoeby_vq934.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Select the distribution point and click Next:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 287 "title=" clip_image018 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image018 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/82/3A/ Wkiom1dornotfsesaab6nxjzegm498.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
When the distribution is complete, click Close:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 286 "title=" clip_image020 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image020 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/82/38/ Wkiol1dordoqydwiaabjeadn56k773.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
To switch to the data source in the boot image properties, make sure that the "deploy this boot image from the PXE service point" is checked:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 396 "title=" clip_image022 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image022 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/3A/ Wkiom1dornwqp2wmaaddxk7el3s666.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
If it is a test environment, you can select "Enable command Support" in the custom properties, so that boot image boot to bare metal, can call out a command prompt, in favor of troubleshooting, but this cannot be recommended in the production environment:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 421 "title=" clip_image024 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image024 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/82/38/ Wkiol1dordwbeqk-aacb0n4emrm457.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
After clicking Confirm, the system will prompt to update the distribution point, click Yes:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 239 "title=" clip_image025 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image025 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/82/3A/ Wkiom1dornespdjnaaepkbihowk673.png "border=" 0 "/>
