Sccm2012 R2 Practice Series 9: OSD (medium)-Image Capture

In the previous article, we completed OSD Initialization Configuration, image import, task sequence creation, and troubleshooting. However, after distributing a clean operating system in the actual environment, you also need to manually install various applications for the client. Therefore, the better way is to use a computer as a template computer after installing the operating system and installing the commonly used software. Today I will share with you how to capture images from the template computer. Image Capture is the most widely used method in OSD.

1. Prerequisites

• To build a reference computer, the reference computer must meet the following requirements:

• The computer must be a member of the Working Group.

• The local administrator password must be blank.

• Prepare the template computer and install software such as "youdao Dictionary", "QQ", and "office" on the template computer, such

2. Create a capturing Media

In sccm2012, you can create a CD and USB flash drive boot image for system installation, as well as an independent system deployment image without network access.

• In "software library"-"Overview"-"Operating System", right-click "task sequence" and choose "Create task sequence to media"

• Open the wizard, select "capture media", and click "Next"

• Specify the PXE image used to start the media (32bit \ 64bit corresponding to the template computer operating system) and distribution point, and then click "Next"

• Confirm the summary and click "Next"

• After that, click "close" to start the preparation of the disc image file. Then burn the image to a CD or USB flash drive to capture the system image.

3. Capture System Images

• Place the activated boot disc in the existing Master system, open the boot disk, and choose "Run tsmbautorun.exe" to open the Capture Wizard.

• Click "Next"

• Enter the network storage path for the captured image, specify the network account and password with the logging permission, and click "Next"

• Enter information about the image, such as version and description, and click "Next"

• Confirm the summary and click "finish" to start system preparation before capturing ....

• Prepare the sysprep System in the Capture Wizard

• After the sysprep system is ready, it will automatically restart to start capturing.

• Start Capturing System Images

• Click OK to restart the computer. At this point, the image is captured.
