SCM-based database administrator

The Database Administrator is responsible for establishing a configuration management database and maintaining the internal integrity or possible inter-database integrity of each database. Main activities include:

1. Create a configuration management database ------ controlled master database used to store configuration items
2. Maintain and control the Library Content
   1. Place the configuration item in the memory based on the configuration item approval
   2. Create and maintain metadata
   3. Publish configuration items for use on the basis of the release request
   4. Publish configuration items for Production
3. Exchange Configuration Management Library Content
   1. Generate a template for the status report
   2. Extract information used to generate status reports
   3. Extract special information, such as metric data of other processes
4. Control Configuration Management Library
   1. Check metadata integrity
   2. Possible and general database management activities, such as data compression
   3. Possible backup activities
