Region and language

In Windows XP, region and language options are a very important component that enhances the application capability of Windows systems in multiple language environments. On the "region options" tab, we can see "standard and format". The drop-down menu below contains the languages of different countries and regions. If you select a language in a different region, the display method of the date, currency, number, and time is changed.

Of course, you can also click "custom options" next to it (see figure) to modify the four options of currency, date, number, and time according to your own ideas. For example, if you want to display the time as "it is now 08:30 on duty, don't be late ". On the "time" tab, delete the content in the "time format" box and change it to "'Now 'hh ', 'mm', 'tt, in the AM and PM input boxes, enter "don't be late for class ". Confirm to exit and check whether the bottom right corner has changed.

The "advanced" tab is the most important part of the "region and language" option. The "non-Unicode Programming Language" here will be applied when running traditional Chinese games and Japanese games.

Windows XP kernel is known as Unicode encoding. However, almost all game programs are not Unicode encoded. In this way, you can specify in the "advanced" tab to run non-Unicode-encoded game programs with specific encoding. Let's take the question of MM as an example. The default non-Unicode program language for Windows XP in simplified Chinese is "simplified Chinese GB2312 ". Choose "Control Panel> region and language options> advanced> non-Unicode program language", and select "Chinese (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region)" from the drop-down menu to run the traditional Chinese game program correctly. You do not need to install the internal code conversion program like Windows 98.

Date and Time

Here we mainly set the system time and time zone. On the "time and date" tab, you can drag the second, minute, and hour clock on the right to change the current time, or modify it directly in the time input box under the clock. On the left side, you can adjust the year, month, and current number.

The second tab "Time Zone" mainly adjusts the system's time zone. Of course, we chose Beijing time. However, MM recently wanted to watch the Olympics and wanted to know the time in Athens. All right, find "Athens, Istanbul, and Minsk" in the drop-down menu. After you confirm, you will be able to know when Athens is now.
