NVR (Network DVR) is the centralized control and management of IPC (Network Camera) of the host device, the camera will monitor the audio and video information uploaded to the NVR, by the NVR for unified storage and forwarding. NVR as a centralized controller, can be monitored, video, playback, camera control and alarm.
This article describes how to configure a Tp-link network camera using Tp-link NVR centralized management.
NVR Factory without hard drive, if you need to use NVR for video recording, you need to install the hard drive first. According to the video requirements (video type, video data save time) calculate the total storage capacity of a NVR, and select the required hard disk.
What is the right size to install the hard drive?
The NVR is connected with the display screen, and the IPC and the NVR are connected to the same LAN through a network cable to ensure that the equipment is in the same network segment. The following figure:
Note: NVR supports the display via VGA or HDMI cable.
NVR support is managed via GUI interface (directly attached to the display) or through a Computer browser interface. This paper takes GUI interface management as an example to introduce the configuration method of NVR.
NVR Connect the display into the NVR login interface. First use the administrative password that requires setting the NVR. To protect enterprise data and network security, it is recommended that you set a high strength password that complies with the security specification. The following figure:
Note: to improve security, the password must be 6-32 characters long and preferably a combination of numbers, letters, and symbols.
Set up a management password to enter the Administration page, through the Setup Wizard to set up network connections, time settings, add IPC and so on.
1
, setting up a network connection
Set the NVR network parameters according to the actual needs and click
Next .
Note: If you have multiple NVR on your network, modify the IP address of the NVR to prevent IP address conflicts.
2
, time and date settings
Set NVR system time, recommend to keep the default, and click
Next .
NVR will automatically search the LAN within the IPC, after searching IPC, click
Add , the following figure:
If the IPC is activated, enter the user name password for the IPC to add, and if the IPC is in factory state, the admin password needs to be set in this interface to be added. IPC can use the same login password as NVR, or you can set a new password. The following figure:
If it does, it means the IPC has been added successfully. Add the IPC individually to ensure that all devices are added successfully, as follows:
Click
Finish to complete the Setup wizard. You can see the monitoring screen:
At this point, the IPC has been added and the monitoring is already in progress. Click the right mouse button, you can pull out the menu, the following figure:
For ease of administration, it is recommended that the name of the IPC be modified to a common name. Click on the
main Menu above, and click on the
settings , the following interface appears.
Camera Settings
>>
Channel Access , click
Edit .
You can determine the IPC by IP address and set a convenient name for administration:
After the settings are complete:
At this point, all of the settings for NVR are complete, and you can set the parameters of the NVR or the respective IPC parameters in the interface
