Select into & insert into in Oracle

Source: Internet
Author: User
Previously, SQL server used to copy table structures and data using select * into tablename1 from tablename2 where. When using Oracle today, You need to copy the table structure and data and write the same statement without thinking about it. The result is an error and a keyword is missing.

The usage structure of select into is

Select [distict | all] {* | column [, column,...]}
Into (variable [, variable,...] | record)
From {table | (sub-query)} [alias]
Where ......

Statements similar to this function include create table Table1 as select * From Table2, which creates a table first, and then copies the structure and data.

Insert into Table1 select * From Table2 where.
