It is undeniable that both routing + redirection and LSP direct data packets to a host. In contrast, the routing method does not modify the protocol header and is transparent to the packet capture server, however, the LSP modifies the destination address, which can be easily discovered by the packet capture tool. In essence, the LSP completes redirection locally and in the user State, there is nothing to do with a pass-through package (generally no one uses Windows as a router), while a route is only used to guide the data packet trend. What to do after it arrives is determined by the destination to which the route points, it can be a redirection to a local location, Nat to a remote location, or any other action you want to do. The next hop acts as the route direction, which is a process of decoupling, the two actions of the LSP are merged, and the scalability is poor. It hides the actions at the protocol level and can easily cause confusion, the routing + redirection/NAT method does not hide the modifications to the Protocol. In fact, it does not maliciously modify the protocol header. redirection and Nat are part of the Protocol.

Just as windows is the preferred Operating System for the client, LSP is also better than routing + redirection on the PC client. First, as a joke, PC users generally do not capture packets, therefore, you don't have to worry about capturing the fantastic package of the destination address by the packet capture tool. In addition, the LSP redirects the package on the local machine, which means that the local machine starts to control the user data packets, this can encrypt the data packets sent from the PC and then send them to a gateway for proxy. This is not implemented by the routing, and the routing is only directed regardless of the content, therefore, local data packet protection cannot be achieved by setting gateway routes. Routing + redirection is often used for server access rather than for clients. This method can import data packets to the encrypted tunnel at the gateway, the LSP method can encrypt data on the local machine.
