Selection of ms SQL Server version

In the past two days, I have been thinking about changing the SQL Server express Edtion that has been used for a long time, because it is a free version and has many functions, including the usage is not very good, however, I am confused about a lot of SQL Server versions and don't know how to choose them. I am really confused. Generally, SQL Server has the following versions to give a rough introduction.

1. Enterprise Edition (formerly known as "Enterprise Edition") is provided for enterprises. Enterprise Edition is a comprehensive data management and business intelligence platform, provides enterprise-level scalability, data warehouse, security, advanced analysis, and report support for key business applications. This version will provide you with stronger servers and execute large-scale online transaction processing. Note,The Enterprise Edition is generally installed on the Server Edition operating system.

Standard Edition is a complete platform for data management and business intelligence. It provides the best ease of use and management features for department-level applications.

3. Developer Edition: allows developers to build and test any type of SQL Server-based applications.This version has all the features of the Enterprise Edition, but is only available for development, testing, and demonstration purposes.Applications and databases developed based on this version can be easily upgraded to the Enterprise Edition. Note that the Developer Edition is most suitable for developers.

4. workgroup edition is a trusted data management and report platform for secure Publishing, remote synchronization, and management of running branch applications. This version has core database features and can be easily upgraded to the standard or Enterprise Edition.

5. web edition, designed for environments that require high availability and Internet web services running on Windows servers. This version provides necessary support tools for low-cost, large-scale, and high-availability Web applications or customer-managed solutions.

6. Express edion is also a free version. It has core database functions, including the latest data types in SQL Server 2008, however, it is a micro version of SQL Server.
