Google is by far the most popular search engine in the world, both for ordinary web surfers and for webmasters . It handles up to 150 million search requests a day, accounting for almost 1/3 of all global search volumes. Web surfers have a passion for Google because of the fast search speed and high hit-rate search results provided by Google. These are based on Google's complex text matching algorithm and its search program using PageRank as the system (Web-level technology). Here we will introduce Google's PageRank to the system.

Google is popular with webmasters and internet media services companies because it does not use only keyword or proxy search techniques, but rather builds itself on advanced web-level technology. Other search engines provide searchers with a rough search result from a variety of sources , while Google gives its searchers a highly accurate search result that it produces. That's why webmasters are doing everything they can to improve their site's ranking in Google.

Another reason for Google's popularity is the speed of its Web site indexing. Submit your site to Google until it is included in Google, usually only two weeks. If your site has been included in Google, then usually Google will once a month to traverse and update (re-indexing) your site information. But for those sites with higher PR values (Pagerank), Google's indexing cycle will be shorter.

Google's index/re indexing cycle is shorter than most search engines. This allows webmasters to edit the page properties of the site, such as the title of the page, the first few lines of text content, the headline, the keyword distribution, and of course, the number of external links. They can then quickly find out if the changes made to the Web page are successful.

Because Google is so popular, you need to know how Google's search engine works. If you don't know how it determines your rankings, those that are only slightly familiar with Google's ranking algorithms will be ahead of your ranking. Now let's take a look at Google's ranking algorithms.

Google's ranking algorithm mainly uses two parts, the first part is its text content matching system. Google uses the system to discover Web pages related to search terms typed by searchers, and the second, the most important part of the ranking algorithm, is Google's patented web-level technology (Pagerank).

Let me first explain how to make a Web site relevant, that is, the text content matching part of the algorithm:

When searching for keywords in a website, Google gives a higher weight to the keywords that appear in its title tag (meta title). So you should make sure that the title tag of your site contains the most important keywords, that is, around your most important keywords to determine the content of the page title. However, the title of the page should not be too long, generally preferably between 35 to 40 characters.

As we all know, Google does not use META tags (meta tags) such as keywords or description tags. This is because the text used in these meta tags is not visible to the actual visitor. And Google believes the META tags will be used by some webmasters to fraudulently place popular keywords that have nothing to do with their site, and thereby increase their site's ranking of irrelevant keywords, thus gaining more visitors by improper means.

This feature, which does not support meta tags, means that Google will generate a description of a Web site from the first few lines of text on a Web page. In other words, you'd better put your keywords or key phrases above the page so that if Google finds them, it will increase the relevance of your site accordingly. Once Google does not find such a relevant content, then you have to spend a lot of effort to make the other parts of your page have relevance.

In determining the relevance of a Web site, Google also takes into account the keyword density (Keyword density) of the body content in the page, so make sure you have a number of keywords and key phrases throughout your entire page. But remember "too much", 6-10% keyword density is the best.

Other strategies to increase page dependencies include adding keywords to the content of the header, and making bold the keywords that appear in the content as much as possible. Google Now also indexes the ALT attribute text of the picture and counts the dependency calculation. So in your ALT attribute should include keywords, to increase the site's relevance score.

The last tip for adding page dependencies is to make the external text links on your site contain your keywords. including keywords in external text links can effectively improve your site's relevance score (Google's description of the PageRank technology also mentions that the site's external links are analyzed and counted as dependencies when calculating the page level).

How many keywords should be included in the text link? This is a matter of opinion. But I noticed that there are a lot of sites in their swap links area that already provide the corresponding text link content. For example: "Welcome to link, and please use the following code to establish a link to this site." "

The above is a description of how Google calculates the relevance of the site and how to increase the relevance of the site some relevant knowledge. But what exactly does Google use to measure a site's quality? The answer is-google's PageRank for the system.

PageRank is taken from Google's founder Larry Page, which is part of Google's ranking algorithm (the ranking formula) to identify the level/importance of the page. Levels ranging from 1 to 10, and 10 to full marks. The higher the PR value, the more popular The Web page is (the more important). For example: a PR value of 1 site indicates that the site is not very popular, and the PR value of 7 to 10 indicates that the site is very popular (or extremely important).

When computing a site's ranking, PageRank takes into account the number of external links to the site. We can say this: the more the number of external links to a website the more its PR value is higher; the higher the level of the external link site (if Macromedia's site links to your site), the higher the PR value of the site. For example: If the abc.com site has a link to a xyz.com site, it must provide some good content for the abc.com site, so Google will take the link from xyz.com as its vote on the ABC.com site. You can download and install Google's toolbar to check your site level (PR value).
