Large and medium-sized companies in the recruitment of SEO, the usual practice is to arrange the SEO to the network department or E-commerce department and other technology-related departments. This kind of thinking is very easy to understand, after all, SEO is technology-oriented marketing, of course, there are companies to arrange it in the marketing department or marketing department, this arrangement is also because of understanding the concept of technology-oriented marketing.

In my opinion, if a company hires only one SEO and needs to be arranged in a particular department, it is ideally for the operations department or the Department in which the relevant personnel of the site operation (COO) are located. Because SEO needs to combine website edit, website procedure, market research and so on. And the arrangement in the non-operation department, will cause a lot of trouble, especially office politics strong company.

Of course, if the conditions permit, large and medium-sized companies can also set up an independent SEO team or department, but the team or department still need to communicate with other departments. In my personal opinion, the establishment of SEO department is not necessary, but the SEO team is essential. SEO team members can be in other departments, such as marketing, editorial department, Product Department, Network department, E-commerce department and other departments of the manager plus an assistant designated as an independent team. This will reduce the pressure on the site Operations Manager (COO). In short, small company SEO only need to communicate with the boss in time; medium-sized companies can be SEO as the chief Operating officer or operations director of the assistant, or arranged in the website operations, large companies can set up a dedicated SEO team, and no need to set up SEO department, that is, will be involved in the Department of the Director plus a full-time SEO ( The assistant manager of the department). PS: The assistant does not need to do other things, lest because the very busy excuse causes the SEO work cannot carry out.

The reason why we want to change the company's organizational structure, is because we found that many hundred or more companies will be unable to perform SEO problems.
