Here's how to create a Dynamic Web project from scratch, sometimes get a full project, and its type is a Dynamic Web project, and this explains how to import into eclipse and deploy it with Tomcat. Importing into Eclipse 1

Menu->file->import->general->existing Projects into Workspace

Enter the directory for the Dynamic Web project in select root directory.
Note: As shown in the figure, you will find that you cannot click Finish, at which point you can click on Brower to finish. If it doesn't come out, it's because Eclipse has managed a project of the same name, removing the project from Eclipse.
