Set BIOS support SATA Hard drive

If the serial hard disk is hooked up to the interface controlled by the onboard serial control chip, it is easier to set up. Take the P4C800 board PDC20378 serial control chip as an example, connect the serial hard disk and boot into the BIOS.

Open the onboard serial controller switch in operating mode under the Advanced menu and set a good working mode. If set to IED, it will enter IDE mode after startup.

When all the settings are complete, if it's OK to start the hard drive from this serial, check the boot settings in the BIOS, this is the boot Device Priority under the boot menu, see if the boot item has this hard drive loaded, and this shows as SATA378 Tx2plus D0. The addition of the PCI control card setting method is similar, but when using an additional serial control card, if the motherboard also has a onboard serial control chip, it is best to disable, if not disabled, sometimes can not access the operating system.
