The user can set the default Paste options in a Word 2010 document to accommodate the need for pasting under various conditions, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word 2010 document window, and click the file → options button, as shown in Figure 2010010802.

Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Advanced tab, where you can set the paste options in the Cut, copy, and paste area. Default Paste Options The meaning of each purpose is summarized as follows:
1. Paste within the same document: When you paste content in the same Word 2010 document, select one of the three formats to retain source formatting, match destination formatting, and preserve text only;
2. Cross-document pasting: When pasting between two word 2010 documents with the same style definition, select Preserve source formatting, match destination format, and preserve text only three formats;
3. A workaround for a style definition when pasting across documents: when pasting between two word 2010 documents with different style definitions, select Preserve source formatting, match destination formatting, and preserve text only three formats;;;;
4. Paste from another program: text copied from a non-word program, select Preserve source formatting, match destination format, and preserve text only in one of the three formats when pasting into a word 2010 document;
5. Insert/paste a picture as: When you paste a text object, such as a graphic, image, clip art, into a Word 2010 document, select one of the formats such as inline, perimeter, compact, and so on.
6. Keep bullets and numbering when pasting text using the Keep Text Only option: Sets whether to keep the symbol and number of the source text;
7. Insert Paste: Select this option to use the INSERT key on your keyboard as the shortcut key for the Paste command (you need to cancel the "Insert control overwrite mode" option);
