Set static IP addresses for NICs in Linux

If the server version is used, you can only use the command line to modify the configuration file without a graphical interface.

For the Client Version, you can use the graphical interface

The configuration requires that the NIC service be restarted under the root user.

Graphic interface:

System-config-network

 

Run after Configuration:

Service network restart

 

Command to check whether the network configuration is successful:

Ifconfig

 

Temporary configuration command (do not run: service network restart, effective immediately ):

Eth0.

 

After vmware tools is installed, you can copy text/files to the real machine from the virtual machine.

 

 

Modify configuration file

/Etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

 

After the configuration file is modified, restart the network service. secureCRT needs to re-establish a session to connect to linux

 

After each IP address is modified, You need to modify and delete the session in secureCRT and re-establish the session. If the session cannot be deleted, You need to disable secureCRT and re-open it.
