In Word2007, users can set a single color background color for a Word table, and you can set pattern shading for a specified cell, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th, open the Word2007 document window, and in the Word table, select one or more cells that you want to set shading patterns in.
Step 2nd, switch to the Design tab in the Table Tools Ribbon, and click the Border Drop-down button in the table Styles group. Then select the Borders and Shading command in the open border menu, as shown in Figure 2009020903.

Step 3rd, open the Borders and Shading dialog box, and switch to the Shading tab. In the pattern area, click the Style drop-down triangle button, select a style, click the Color drop-down triangle button, select the appropriate shading color, and click OK, as shown in Figure 2009020904.
