The link updates in the Word2010 document include both Automatic Updates and manual update methods. If you use Automatic Updates, the user is prompted to update the document with the data in the linked file when the package contains a linked Word document, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Prompts the user whether to update the linked data if you use the manual Update method, the link is not prompted for updates, and users are required to update them manually. The user can set the link Automatic Update or manual update as necessary in the Word2010 document, as follows: Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and right-click the linked object. On the Open shortcut menu, point to the linked sheet object cascading menu (which changes with the type of the linked object) and select the link command in the next menu that opens, as shown in Figure 2.
