Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and click the WordArt you want to set the glow effect on, so that it is in an edited state.
2nd step, in the drawing tools/Formatting ribbon, click the Shape Effects button in the Shape Styles group.

Step 3rd, open the Shape Effects menu and point to the Glow option. The WordArt in the Word2010 document displays the final effect in real time when you point the mouse to any glow in the Glow Variation group in the Glow effects list. Make sure you select a glow effect and click the effect.

The luminous color in the glow effects list is limited, and users can point to the "other bright colors" option in the Glow effects list and choose a richer light color in the open color panel.
