The status bar of the Web browser is located below the browser and can be turned on or off by the View/status bar option on the browser's menu bar. The status bar of a Web page is the status information of a page, such as the download progress of a webpage. This example will use Dreamweaver MX 2004 to customize the status bar information.
Effect description
Display a custom line of text information in the status bar of the Web page, and the actual effect can be found in the CD with the book "Source file" | "Instance 58" | "Sample.htm" file.

Operation Steps
(1) Open the Settings window for "Set status bar text." After running Dreamweaver MX 2004, open or create a new Web page document, perform the action shown in Figure 58-1, and open the Behavior panel.
(2) After the above operation, the "Set Status bar Text" window is opened as shown in Figure 58-2.
(3) Status bar text effect. When you click the OK button, click the file/preview in browser/IE Browser command in the menu bar, or press the shortcut key F12 to preview the status bar text effect shown in Figure 58-3.
At this point, this example is complete. On the status bar, you can advertise your site, or you can place other promotional messages.
